PLA+

Pros: Tougher and more impact-resistant than standard PLA, still easy and affordable, eco-friendly.

Cons: Slightly brittle compared to others, heat-sensitive, moisture-prone.

Best for: Functional prototypes or parts needing extra strength over PLA.

PLA

Pros: Eco-friendly, great for fine details, versatile, affordable.

Cons: Brittle, low heat tolerance, absorbs moisture over time.

Best for: Prototypes, decorative items, beginner or non-functional prints.

PETG-CF

Pros: Stiffer and stronger due to carbon fiber, matte finish, improved stability.

Cons: Abrasive, more expensive, fibers may irritate skin.

Best for: Functional parts needing higher strength, tools or components.

PETG

Pros: Durable, somewhat flexible, better heat and chemical resistance, recyclable.

Cons: Can be prone to stringing or warping during printing, absorbs moisture.

Best for: Everyday functional parts or items exposed to mild heat/outdoors.

TPU

Pros: Extremely flexible (like rubber), durable against wear and impacts.

Cons: Challenging to print, not suited for rigid or detailed models.

Best for: Flexible items such as phone cases, seals, gaskets, or wearables.

We strive to provide clients with the best print quality possible. We keep our machines well maintained and will reprint any poor quality or failed prints due to machine or error on our part, at no additional charge to the customer.

We will not be liable for print failures or poor quality due to the design provided by the client.

3D printing terms of service

By engaging Fox & Train for 3D printing services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Service Requests and Limitations:

    • Fox & Train is not liable for print issues or poor print quality resulting from a poor model, such as overly thin geometry, unsupported, or unsupportable geometry, etc.

    • Fox & Train will not design a model or alter a model’s geometry.

    • Fox & Train reserves the right to refuse any print service.

  2. Print Quality and Liability:

    • Fox & Train is liable for print issues caused by printer maintenance, improper slicing of the model, or operation of the printer. Failed prints due to these issues will be reprinted free of charge until an acceptable print is completed.

    • Fox & Train strives to provide the best possible print quality as quickly as possible, but no refunds will be issued.

  3. Pricing and Discounts:

    • Pricing for 3D printing is calculated as follows: $0.05/g for PLA in random colors (May be multiple colors in the same object), $0.06/g for normal filaments, and $0.08/g for special filaments. There are no hourly or setup fees.

    • A 10% discount applies to bulk orders exceeding 1.5kg of filament for a single project.

    • A 50% discount applies if the client brings their own filament to Fox & Train to use for the project.

    • There may be slight variances between color samples and the actual print.

  4. Priority and Delivery:

    • Clients may pay a $10 priority fee to place their model at the front of the printing queue. While Fox & Train will strive to meet client deadlines, this does not guarantee faster printing.

    • Printed parts can be shipped via NinjaVan (estimated 2–3 days) for a $6 fee, or clients may opt for self-collection.
